Updates from Hōkūpaʻa

With the first winter snow upon us, we’re happy to share ways to give for the holiday season.

This month, we’re sharing about our time with many of the wonderful organizations at the Footsteps to Transition Fair for students with disabilities. We’re also passing along resources about concrete assistance and holiday giving programs that can help meet families’ needs.

Assistance Programs

Food insecurity affects many of the students and families in Hawaiʻi’s schools and communities, alongside other high-cost challenges. Many of our friends and partner organizations have been sharing available resources to help people with food, housing and utility costs, and Christmas gifts. Almost all of these programs will have donation or volunteer opportunities, as well, for those who would like to help.

4. Salvation Army Kona Corps: Angel Giving Tree. For holiday gift requests.
