This newsletter is all about youth leadership making an impact on our communities.

We start at a local level with an article by a volunteer leader at UH Hilo that coordinated summertime food distributions. Then, a statewide invitation to the 2023 Children & Youth Summit, where youth influence next year’s legislation.

Featured Event:
Hawaiʻi Children & Youth Summit

Registration is open for the next Hawaiʻi Children & Youth Summit!

This day-long event is an impactful opportunity for young people (up to age 24) to discuss issues with peers from across the state, talk with lawmakers, and create bills for the next legislative session. Youth interested in creating change through new laws should sign up!

This year the summit is in Honolulu during Fall Break on 10/12/23. They will cover travel costs, so register early to secure funding!
